This is my first stand as a new trimmer, so I don't have anything to compare it to. However, it seems like very nice quality. My horses have kicked it over and stepped on it - It got a little dirty, but that's all. The magnets on the sides are very strong and hold my nippers and rasp very well! I also like the ability to change out/adjust the piece so I can use if for different sized horses. This stand is the perfect size for my Quarter Horse, Haflingers, and even works well with my 16hh Percherons (though I use a different cradle). The only thing I don't like is that a dent is left on the pole every time you secure the cradle/post piece (see pic). This adds up to many dents after enough use, because each time you put it in slightly differently. Not sure if I can expect this to happen with all hoof stands or if it's a problem with the quality.
